Search engines crawlers need a programmic way to understand what a page is about, one of the current methods is keyword denisty. It works by calculating the number of keywords or phrases appear within the text, known as keyword density. Something that this does better than most scripts is that it allows for full site analysis, and it also does phrase analysis of two and three keyword phrases.
