News And Article System v1.4
ADMIN:
- article categories: title, description, archive capability, and category photo.
- articles: title, teaser, article body, date, author, article image (main to be displayed on front page), DISPLAY option (i.e. news section, scroller or both), and optional META KEYWORDS & META DESCRIPTION fields. Excludes PDF upload capability.
Both shall include the WYSIWYG html editor system, giving the ability to upload photos within the article itself.
FRONTEND:
a. Home page:
- News Scroller: Shall include a javascript news scroller which shows any articles flagged in admin to show in news scroller.
NOTE: The news scroller is already done and only requires your query coding in it. It needs to show the title and teaser, with title linked. Your query will need to strip out any paragraph breaks and ' marks in the TITLE and TEASER.
c. News & Notices Front Page: Shall display the most recent article set to ON and DISPLAY set to either 'news section' or 'both'. Below it shall show all previous article summaries with status of same and clickable to get full details.
d. Article Page: Shall show full article details, buttons for PRINT FRIENDLY / TELL A FRIEND and shall include hidden META tag data if entered via admin tools.
e. Print friendly: Full copy of article on print friendly format with just website logo, then full article details.
f. Send to a friend pop-up box which allows visitor to send copy of article to a friend. The send to a friend system shall send over a nicely formatted HTML email which contains website logo, article title, date, and teaser paragraph with link to click to read entire story.
