NetVIOS has released NetVIOS 2.0, a new, open-source website platform in the form of an ASP component. NetVIOS provides a base for web applications and website management. The platform publishes essential functions such as a site user or member system, resource access and security system, look and GUI system, help system, banner management system etc. necessary to operate a website and used by the website's applications. Then, web applications adopt these functions without duplicating them resulting in applications that are quicker, cheaper, integrate with the site and share a common look and feel, login and authentication, user information, as well as common functional procedures.

include a chat, messageboard, site events calendar, site-wide instant
messenger, news application, portal page creation utilities etc.
