The main logic is that you create one server application in VB and place that application on the machine which is connected to the internet and you create another web application which can be located anywhere and the users accessing your site would be able to send you instant messages, those messages would appear in your WMS server application. Basically, its a kind of client/server application, both applications are using the sockets to talk to each other.
